My counselling experience started in 2000, building on fifteen years mentoring and self-development teaching. My work has included counselling patients in a GP surgery, children and families in schools and special centres, in addition to my private practice.

To a practical and goal-based instruction as teacher/trainer in self-development I added a psychotherapeutic training which was both practical and also philosophically informed. I believe that I combine these influences to provide something which is simply an exploration with a client, to uncover, without judgment, what troubles them, and why. The style is very much one of a joint enquiry.

I have worked with children, young people, older people and couples. I regularly run courses on Assertiveness, Listening Skills and Confidence Building and can offer self-development courses to small or large groups.

I also provide supervision for other counsellors.
